Makeup Favorite

I've got not just one favorite ...

It changes all the time. But I love the Bodyshop Natrulift range

It's amazing and really really good, not just that it smells fantastic it also leaves your skin nice and soft and moisturised and even reduces signs of wrinkles.

Halloween Grease Paint

Wigs in Plays

At the moment Starlight Express is in Edinburgh, I so want to see it again and I really hope it was worth the wait. Last time I saw it was in 2002 i think in Germany and it was absolutely amazing.

The makeup is great and very individual for each  character , so are the wigs.

Like in most musicals the actors learn to do their most of their own make up and just get help with tiny things, touch ups, wigs and costumes.

The Magic Flute will be played in Glasgow this month. A fantastic piece if arranged right for young and old.
Wigs, different make up and costumes always change with the arrangement of this lovely piece of classical music.

One of my favorite films and one of the makeups that I really would love to do is Captain Jack Sparrow. Johnny Depp requested Ve Neill as the MuA, the studios instead made her head of department.

Another great film with good effects and fantastic make up is Merlin.
I love both caracters played by Miranda Richardson Queen Mab and the Lady of the Lake. These two are so different in makeup and everything about them.

Something completly different and not a film, but from the Series Stargate are the Nox.
I love everything about them, they are just too adorable.

Next the Tim Burton adaption of Alice in Wonderland. I can't even decide which makeup I like best because each one has a different twist to it.

And last but not least is one of my all time favorites Edward Scissorhands.  I simply love this film

About College and Expectations

My expectations when starting the course where quite high, as to what to learn in the course and it being very hands on.
Due to some personal stuff like a flitting , unsorted money and shit other complications I can't keep up half as good as I want to. Hope this will all be resolved soon though.

My thoughts about the course are all positive , the course is great and the class is good, the lecturers are nice and explain very well.

The funniest moment in my college life is hard to say. I think one of the hair dressing customers recognised me from last year and asked me if I would do her hair in the afternoon class. My thoughts kinda wandered off towards crazy hairstyles I was researching and I laughed.
I explained to her afterwards that I was doing a different course now and honestly felt bad to say no , but also flattered that the remembered me and wanted me as her stylist.

Other funny moments were when I went home after Special Effects with cuts and bruises in my face; the looks some people give you on the bus are just brilliant.

The most interesting thing so far is to put highlights and shades into different makeups and what effect they can have.
From making somebody look younger, older, tired or ill it can be achieved by a little colour in the right places.

My idol ... hmm hard to say really, because what I like changes quite often so do the people that I admire. But I think somebody constant is Ve Neill, I already posted a bit about her.

And why do I want to be a MuA? Well over ten years ago I even wanted to be one, allergies and childish stupidity held me back then; now that I grew up a bit more and my allergies are settled I have the chance to fulfil this dream and go for it.
I like all the different stuff you can do as a MuA no day is exactly the same and everything and person you work on is different.
